EARLY COLLAGE / ASSEMBLAGE WORKS
This page contains a VERY small selection of works from the 1980s (post School of Visual Arts). During this period I created hundreds of works like these, possibly as many as 500. Because of their small scale I was able to move them safely around with me as well as create them wherever I found myself.... NYC, Brooklyn, Jersey City, Berkeley, Los Angeles. Most of these works met an unfortunate end in rural New Mexico in the early 1990s..... a storage shed, secure from most everything but the rodents who used much of the work as nesting material. Fucking rodents! Fortunately I had a selection of works shot on slides for showing to galleries. These are some of those works preserved on film.
